Frani’s Grillied Ginger-Turmeric Chicken
If you like Asian fusion food you’ll love Frani’s turmeric ginger chicken. There is only one way to make turmeric ginger chicken on the grill and that is with the Grillie. Get ready for a rich, subtly layered taste experience.
Equipment
- 2 Grillies
Ingredients
INGREDIENTS
- 2 lb chicken breast - cut to bite sized pieces
- 1 1/2 cup chopped onion
- 1 1/2 cup sliced carrots - par boiled
- 1 1/2 cup frozen peas (thawed)
- 15 sprigs of cilantro - cut into thirds
- 20 garlic cloves - cut into 1/8” slices
- 1/2 tbsp ground turmeric
- 1/2 tbsp ground ginger
- 1/2 tbsp granulated garlic
- 1/2 tsp cayenne pepper
- 1/2 tbsp cumin
- 1/2 tbsp yellow seasoned salt
- 1/2 tsp black pepper
Instructions
Pre-Heat Grill
- Pre-Heat grill to 450F
Directions
- Mix all ingredients into a large mixing bowl. Be sure to toss ingredients until all dry seasonings are evenly spread throughout the mix.
- Pour half of mix into two separate Grillies.
- Place both Grillies on grill and spray with oil. I like to use olive oil, however you can use canola, grape-seed oil, or your favorite high heat oil.
- Cook for a total of approx 18 minutes, turning every five minutes. When done cooking, pour out into bowls. Serve with rice, cous cous, or wrap in a burrito like our son Tony does.
